WHS Gradnite Inc. Policies

  • Only Washington High School graduating seniors will be allowed to attend Washington High’s Grad Nite.
  • This event is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • This is an alcohol/drug free and chaperoned event.
  • Grads must bring a current, valid, photo ID (preferably WHS student ID).
  • Grads may only attend after full payment has been made and a completed Registration Form, that includes the Permission Slip/Waiver and Medication and/or Special Needs information, has been submitted.
  • All grads will travel to and from Disneyland®/California Adventure® Theme Parks on the Grad Nite approved chartered buses in which they are assigned.
  • Grads may not leave the Disney parks property at any time during the chaperoned trip.
  • No alcohol or drugs of any kind will be allowed.  If your child arrives under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will be contacted and required to pick your child up.  We are required to contact the Police and/or security.  Smoking will not be permitted.
  • Personal belongings are subject to inspection at WHS check-in and at Disney.

Permission Slip/Waiver

The parent/guardian and student participant assume all risks in connection with the student’s participation in any and all of the WHS Gradnite Inc. sponsored activities.  Parent/Guardian hereby releases and discharges Fremont Unified School District, Washington High School, all WHS Gradnite Inc. officers, committee members, volunteers and agents from all liability, claims or demands for any damage, loss or injury to the student, the student’s property, or parent’s property in connection with participation in these activities, unless caused by the negligence of the WHS Gradnite Inc. organization.

Parent/Guardian does hereby certify that to the best of his/her/they knowledge and belief said student participant is in good health, physically fit and able to participate in this event and acknowledge that Parent/Guardian is aware of the inherent risks in participating in an event of this type.  In case of illness or accident, permission is granted for emergency treatment to be administered.  It is further understood and agreed that the Parent/Guardian will assume full responsibility for any such action, including payment of cost.

Parent/Guardian hereby advises that the student participant has completed and submitted their Medication and/or Special Needs information if there are any allergies, medicine reactions or physical conditions which should be made known to a treating physician or which could limit participation.  This includes the use of prescriptive or over-the-counter medicine that the participant will have with him/her/they on the trip. Prescription and/or over-the-counter medications must be presented to the head chaperone the evening of departure. If medications are presented upon departure but not listed on the form, chaperones cannot take them on the trip. Parent/Guardian and student participant further understand that he/she/they must abide by all rules, guidelines and policies set forth by the WHS Gradnite Inc. trip chaperones, bus company, restaurants, Disneyland® and California Adventure®.  If any of these are broken, the participant may be sent home at his/her/they own expense without refund.  Participants under 18 years of age who are sent home are required to be picked up by a parent or legal guardian in Anaheim. They will also be responsible for the chaperone’s cost to return to Fremont if the chaperone cannot leave on the bus with the group because of parent/guardian pick up. Participants over 18 years of age who are sent home will have their parent or guardian contacted and will arrange for transportation home at their own expense. Parent/guardian and student participant will hold Fremont Unified School District, Washington High School, bus company, and WHS Gradnite Inc. harmless of any liability.

Please read the Disney Guidelines here as the parent/guardian and student participant will later have to acknowledge the reading and understanding of them.

Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement

I acknowledge I have read, understood and discussed the rules, policies, and Disneyland Dress Code and Conduct Rules, as specified, with participant (my child). I understand that I will be contacted if my child does not abide by the Grad Nite rules, guidelines and policies. My child has read the rules, guidelines and policies and has acknowledged so. I understand that there will be NO REFUNDS.
